The ROCKtober Manifesto
I don't know about you, but where I grew up October was not just the beginning of Fall or the month that Halloween fell on, but it was also ROCKtober! Its a month to listen to the great music that makes you love music in the first place. But more importantly it is a month to share the music you love with the people you love (or at least with the ones you like and call "friends").
The challenge is to come up with thirty-one artists/bands that you want to share with everyone. Then pick one of those artists/groups a day and pass on them on. You can post anything; website, pictures, music files (just be careful with this one, no one needs to go to jail), or video links to everyone in your social networks.
The goal of all this is to educated and introduce new music to people. Maybe you have a local band or indie group that friends across the country will like. Maybe you want to show a classic rock band to a younger generation. Maybe you feel a band doesn't get enough exposer, or maybe you just really, really like a group and want to share. The point of ROCKtober is to get the music out there participating and passing it on.
