So...What You Reading
I have been reading...ALOT, in a attempt to stay sober. Not that I think I am an alcoholic(I worry to much about it, to be an Alcey, yet)I am just trying to replace destructive boredom with more creative boredom. So, Since July 1st I have read:
The Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys I realted to this book a little to well.
I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell an autobiographical account of an asshole. Don't get me wrong, I am an asshole, so I don't hold it against the guy. It was funny in parts and disgusting in others.
My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands Similar in alot of way to the "Beer in Hell" book, but written by a truely funny woman. It is also disgusting in parts too.
The Language of the Blues: From Alcorub to Zuzu More of a reference book than an actual read, but I enjoyed it.
We Gotta Get Out of This Place: The True, Tough Story of Women in Rock The History of Women in Modern Pop Music. From Maybelle Carter and Bessi Smith to Lauren Hill and Missy Elliot and everyone inbetween. I skipped the chapter on the Divas of the 1990s.
I just finished Cash: The Autobiography I heard it was good and I heard right.
I am currently reading chapters and verse from my busted up copy of The Portable Henry Rollins
Next up, Nick Hornby's High Fidelity

I am currently reading The Graves Are Not yet Full, which examines the role of race in African political violence.
I also just finished reading the Mysterious Island, by Jules Verne. A slow but enjoyable read. (READ IT ONLINE !)
I still say, try as you might, you'll never be an asshole on Tucker Max's level.
That's supposed to be a compliment, Spaz. ;)
Right now I'm reading Black Lamb and Grey Falcon. It's a travel journal about Yugoslavia around WWII.
